Why Upscale?

For over three decades we have been investing in alternative investment strategies and developing relationships with operating and sophisticated investors globally. We have built a robust platform to leverage our allocator and manager database, which is one of the largest available in the marketplace today.

Unlike our peers, we are active investors that allocate capital to alternative investment strategies. We have managed hedge funds, run funds of funds, allocated to hundreds of hedge fund managers and raised billions from institutional investors since the early 1980’s. In fact, one of our partners co-founded Cogent Hedge in 2001, which was the preeminent hedge fund database of its time. Another partner created his first hedge fund in 1985, has been on the board of multiple funds and has been registered as an investment adviser and commodity trading advisor.
